About Dr. Michelle Kokkonen

Flower

It is great to be a chiropractor. I’ve been doing it since 1995, and I’ve enjoyed most every second of it. I feel blessed to be in a profession that is so gratifying. It is amazing to work with people and watch them as they become healthier and happier. Over the years I’ve seen so many wonderful things happen to my patients. I want to do more for people than just relieve their pain; I expect to see them engaging more fully in their every day activities, able to handle and do more.

I listen…I mean really listen. So many doctors do not take the time to really discover a patients true needs. I do. I utilize a combination of the latest chiropractic techniques  and techniques I learned from the “old” docs, to ensure the fastest possible relief.

I’ve worked with children of all ages, from newborns to teenagers. It’s surprising how much tension they hold in their bodies. For example, babies can enter the world with subluxations due to conditions while in utero or as a result of the process of birth itself. I’ve helped children who have suffered from associated conditions.Flower

I feel that it’s important to understand that I’m not “treating” these conditions themselves. Instead, I help to unlock the tension that children carry within their bodies in order to allow their young systems to function as they naturally should.

Easing lower back pain and other stress-related symptoms during pregnancy frees your body’s energy, helps support your baby’s developing spine and nerve system, and promotes the best possible position for birth.
